With beginning of September, Mercure Katowice Centrum, located at the very heart of the Silesian capital, opened doors to its first guests. This is another Accor hotel joining Mercure family in Poland. The modern facility is the part of the transformation happening in Katowice: from industrial to ecological city. Thanks to the use of environmentally friendly solutions, recycled materials and the facade of the building covered with natural greenery, the hotel is a perfect embodiment of the future of hospitality. The investor of the new hotel is a renowned Austrian developer, UBM Development.

Mercure Katowice Centrum offers its guests 268 modern, comfortable rooms located on 8 floors. The leitmotif of the hotel is the usage of eco-friendly solution that are the future of modern hospitality and sustainability. The facility was designed according green & clean philosophy and its façade is covered with the highest and biggest green wall in Katowice made from natural plants. Environmentally friendly technologies are available throughout the facility. An expression of the hotel's commitment to ecology is the mural in the lobby prepared by the local activist and street-art artist Mona Tusz.
By opening a hotel in one of the largest industrial centres in Poland, we want to consciously and actively participate in the green transformation of Katowice. Mercure Katowice Centrum uses environmentally friendly technologies at every step - from the plant wall on the facade of the building, through ecological solutions inside the hotel, incl. the use of environmentally friendly materials, renewable energy sources, rainwater or an advanced water and energy management monitoring system. Located at Młyńska St., the facility offers 268 modern, comfortable and spacious rooms, each of which has been designed to guarantee a peaceful and harmonious rest among natural colors and materials. The hotel's interior was inspired by the environment and nature.
Guests visiting Mercure Katowice Centrum can enjoy the bar and Winestone restaurant offering wide range of wine, including also Polish and organic ones, as well as modern local cuisine of the highest quality with dishes served on stone boards. For lovers of peace and relaxation, the hotel has prepared a massage room, which, together with the adjacent gym, is located on the 9th floor, providing an amazing view of the entire city. There is also a business space, guaranteeing modern and comfortable conference rooms with a total capacity of up to 80 people and an area of nearly 100 m2. An underground car park with 70 parking spaces at the guests' disposal.
