Accor, the world leading hospitality group, expands its portfolio of acclaimed brands in Hungary. The group has signed management agreement for Mercure in Tokaj, one of the Hungary’s most famous wine region. The hotel will welcome its first guests by Spring next year. This is the second destination for the brand in the country.
Accor strengthen its position as a hospitality leader in Central and Eastern Europe by expanding portfolio of guests’-favorite brands. Thanks to agreement signed with Hotel Tokaj Kft the group will open new Mercure hotel in picturesque Hungarian landscape. The hotel will mark second destination of the brand in the country. The facility will offer 55 modern and comfortable rooms located in 4 floors with executive apartments on the top. Guests could also benefit from restaurant, indoor- and outdoor swimming pool and spa, as well as wineshop with local delicacies. The hotel is set to open in Spring 2022.

The owner of the new hotel is Hungarian company Hotel Tokaj Kft, dealing with real estate, tourism and agriculture among many others. The company already has some existing hotels across the country, for example in Hajdúszoboszló that is a popular spa destination close to Tokaj. The architect of Mercure Tokaj responsible for the design of the hotel is renowned Hungarian BORD Architectual Studio.

Mercure Tokaj will be located in an old building after complete reconstruction and renovation. Prime destination in the city, right on the left bank of Tisza river provides walking distance from the main points of interest.
